CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear researchers:

Turkey’s first international, peer-reviewed, and open-access semiotics journal, established by Semiotics Circle of Türkiye to support semiotic studies in our country and the world, started its publication life with 2980-2776 ISSN number on June 30, 2023, with Volume 1, Issue 1. You can access the full texts at www.e-tamga.com.

TAMGA-Turkish Journal of Semiotic Studies is an open-access online journal that accepts articles in Turkish, English, and French and is published twice a year, in June and December. The journal supports descriptive, critical, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary studies focusing on how meaning is produced in social, cultural, social, and natural sign systems and the relationship of signs with the world and human and human and the world with signs.

The journal includes innovative research, theoretical studies, reviews, and book reviews in which established methods, techniques, and analysis means are used within the framework of 21st-century semiotics, which is increasingly influential worldwide. Articles from all disciplines associated with semiotics are welcome.

Important Notes:

  1. The deadline for submission of articles for the June 2025 issue is April 30, 2025. Articles submitted after the deadline will be evaluated for subsequent issues.
  2. Articles only submitted through the journal system (https://e-tamga.com/index.php/pub/about/submissions) will be evaluated.
  3. All studies have undergone a double-blind peer-review process. The final publication decision of the articles accepted in line with the peer-review reports depends on the decision of the editorial board of the journal. In the case of busyness, the editorial board has the right to publish the accepted articles in the subsequent issue.
  4. While submitting all articles, authors must also submit the Copyright Form with the article via the system.
